Rancho Mesa’s Dave Garcia, President & Chief Executive Officer, and Drew Garcia, Vice President of the Landscape Group, along with Margaret Hartmann, the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, participated in NALP’s annual Leaders Forum last weekend in Aruba. The event marked the video premier of Rancho Mesa’s Momentum.

Rancho Mesa’s Dave Garcia, President & Chief Executive Officer, and Drew Garcia, Vice President of the Landscape Group, along with Margaret Hartmann, the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, participated in NALP’s Leaders Forum last weekend in Aruba.
The Leaders Forum is an annual leadership education conference for landscape industry professionals. It is a great opportunity for fellow company owners and executives to connect, share, and learn.
The event marked the video premier of Rancho Mesa’s Momentum. After the video ended, Rancho Mesa’s Drew Garcia was welcomed to the stage to address the audience on behalf of the company.
“It was a great opportunity to speak in front of some of the landscape industry’s greatest leaders,” said Drew Garcia. “I’ve had the privilege to work with some incredible leaders throughout my baseball and insurance career. I look forward to this event each year, I always come home with so much information that I can apply to my life; both at home and at work.”
Leaders Forum is a great way to jump start the year with fresh ideas that can be brought back to the workplace and positively impact your business.

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) San Diego Chapter released its 2018 Pacific Southwest Fall Conference video on Monday, November 5, 2018. The event took place at The Dana on Mission Bay in San Diego, CA and hosted nearly 100 attendees.

Landscapers from all over Northern California gathered at Buckeye Ranch in Petaluma, CA on Saturday, October 13, 2018 to test their skills at the California Landscape Contractors Association's (CLCA) Landscape Industry Certified Technician testing.

OneofOne Drawing Winners Honored at Family Health Centers of San Diego

OneofOne drawing winners, Tom and Debby Doyle of Progressive Electric Co. were honored on August 29, 2018 at the Family Health Centers of San Diego Logan Heights clinic.
Outside the door of exam room 8 of the pediatric ward, a new plaque reads, “this room is dedicated to Thomas & Deborah Doyle for generously supporting Family Health Centers of San Diego.”
The couple was bestoyed the naming rights to the examination room on Monday, April 2, 2018 after they participated in Rancho Mesa’s "OneofOne" drawing.
Rancho Mesa clients were asked to submit their OneofOne moments describing an instance when Rancho Mesa exceeded their expectations. In return, Rancho Mesa donated $250 to ten local nonprofits on behalf of the winners. Tom and Debby Doyle won the grand prize, the naming rights to the examination room.
“The OneofOne drawing is an excellent way for Rancho Mesa to bring our construction and human services clients together to support our community,” said Sam Clayton, Vice President of the construction group at Rancho Mesa Insurance.

The couple received a tour of the facility by Anthony White, Director of Community & Government Relations at Family Health Centers of San Diego. Accompanied by Sam Clayton, the couple spent the morning learning about the organization’s programs.
“My wife Debby and I are honored to be recognized at the Family Health Centers of San Diego Logan Heights clinic. We are so excited that Rancho Mesa introduced us to this valuable organization that helps so many people in the community,” said Tom Doyle, Progressive Electric Co.

Insurance Company of the West (ICW) risk consultants gathered on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 for training and to hear Daniel Frazee, Executive Vice President at Rancho Mesa Insurance Services, Inc. speak about the importance of the broker/risk manager relationship.

Insurance Company of the West (ICW) risk consultants gathered on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 for training and to hear Daniel Frazee, Executive Vice President at Rancho Mesa Insurance Services, Inc. speak about the importance of the broker/risk manager relationship.
Daniel covered in detail the important role risk consultants can play in developing a strong relationship with employers. He encouraged the new employees to study claim trends, look for cause and nature of injuries, and listen with intent as they build partnerships with businesses.
Daniel also recommended asking pointed questions in initial meetings about what specifically businesses are looking for in their relationship with a workers' compensation carrier. Tying those answers together and working in step with brokers were critical pieces to Daniel’s message to the group.
“It is always a pleasure working with Tom Joliff and his team of risk consultants," said Daniel Frazee. "It just continually reminds me what a forward-thinking insurance company ICW is. They have been so proactive with their growth, adding quality talent to ensure that their servicing remains strong for their policyholders. Having a chance to speak to these new employees allowed us to share some of Rancho Mesa’s service tenants and philosophies, as well. Building on this partnership to ultimately reduce risk for our clients is very satisfying.”
