Dr. Ogundimu provides an overview of the changing populations in long-term care settings and an introduction to the problem of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) in these settings. In addition, Dr. Ogundimu defines safe injection practices and provides examples of recent outbreaks in long-term care settings associated with unsafe injection practices.
